Busy Bride Tip #2: Wedding Website
mywedding.com, Free
A wedding website can be very handy, especially for couples that go for a destination wedding. Mine was out of town so having a central portal for communication with guests was extremely useful. I had events for the weekend (from Friday to Sunday) and wanted the easiest way to keep everyone on the same page. There are many available site options but I ultimately chose mywedding.com over others because it was the easiest to use, had good designs, offered online RSVPs and, best of all, it was free! Once I got my site created, I posted information about general wedding details, logistics, our wedding registry, and helpful weekend tips to make our guests’ stay as accommodating as possible.
Tip: I can’t stress how much I appreciate the online RSVP option! It saved me countless hours of data entry and cut down the cost of my invitations and postage—convenient, economical, and eco-friendly. The only hitch was that a handful of guests weren’t familiar or knew about online RSVPs, so be prepared and ready to explain it. Otherwise, it was really easy and practical for both us and our guests.
